    k member?

I thought that all the early 64-66 K members are the same-no difference between the /6 or V8? Steering linkage is not the same.

Duster Rear shocks too short w/XHD Leaf

I got KBY's 30 years ago and have stayed with them-One set still on after 25 years.

108 wb versus 111 wb leaf springs

Station Wagons have the stiff HD springs. I think you can go back to 57 on the rear springs (HD) but don't quote me on that. Look it up in a exchange book at a wreaking yard.

    rear leaf springs

The wagons use as standard the HD sedan spring and it has one extra leaf in it. I put the wagon springs on my 64 Valiant slant six convertible to stiffen it up. Worked great as it is now on par with my 440 six pack Challenger rear spring as far as stiffness goes.

Have you checked your wheel bearings? Look at the end of the spindle with the bearing cap off-should not be much free play there when you move the tire.

Which side is high? Shocks have nothing to do with ride hight, only smoothness.

    Torsion Bars

No-the left side is were the driver sits. Left/right/front/back are all from were you sit.

1" just suspension torsion bars on sale again. $159

How well will they work in a 64 slant 6/4 speed? I am into handling more than comfort. I do have HD V8 station wagon springs in back

    Cotter pins

Well it might be ok to use a cotter pin but a roll(split) pin is harder and a snugger fit. A cotter pin is a soft pin and a loose fit in the hole. I am sure there is a reason Mapar used it and not the cheaper cotter pin.

    Cotter pins

I thought the strut rod used a split pin, not a cotter pin.

need new rear leafs. any suggestions?

I used Donavan Springs. They are nation wide and often seen advertising on trucks/18 wheelers. I think the pair for my 50 Chrysler were under 100.00
