[FOR SALE] Very Small '61-and-a-half Valiant V200

Here's a nifty Trax die-cast model from Australia, new in its hardshell window box. A little dusty (because the box has windows), but it's in perfect condition, only ever touched by grownup hands, and only once in a long while. It's a '61 Valiant, but it's the right-hand drive version sold in...

    [SOLD] Turbo Mopar Parts Bonanza-on-Wheels

Yeah, eh! I don't think it is a coincidence that the '89-'95 Acclaim and Spirit and '90-'94 LeBaron sedan were designated A-bodies (okeh, technically they were "AA-body", but that's because everything else had an A-prefix...AP-body, AJ-body, AC-body, AS-body, etc.)

    [SOLD] Turbo Mopar Parts Bonanza-on-Wheels

The problem with my weird taste in cars is not many people share it. Tough nuts for me, I've gotta get it gone anyhow, and soon—I'm losing my garage space and my street has tight parking restrictions I can't meet with my work schedule. "It" is a running, driving, safe, reliable, licensed and...

    1-of-none '92 Dodge Spirit ESR/T Turbo FS

Thanks. Years and cubic dollars fer sher. The car was under a purchase agreement, buyer was to make monthly payments -- had a family illness come up, sounds like one of his parents has some kind of lung issue, and I had to let him out of it. If it was a story designed to tug at my heart, OK...

[FOR SALE] NOT MINE '65 Canadian Valiant FS Denver

It was the Canadian thing in '65 and '66. Also South Africa in the late '60s/early '70s; here's a South African 1970 Valiant station wagon:

[FOR SALE] NOT MINE '65 Canadian Valiant FS Denver

Not garden hose! That's very expensive premium silicone heater hose. I installed it in...ummmm...1995. It should still have at least another 10 good years in it. This was the car I almost learned the "never add factory A/C to a car not originally equipped; it's an enormous, costly, difficult...

[FOR SALE] NOT MINE '65 Canadian Valiant FS Denver

Look here; that's no Dart, that's my old D'Valiant! I've kept in touch with the buyer over the years. I bought it out of Stoney Creek, Ontario in 1992. Bought the aluminum engine in 1993 or so, built and installed it in '95ish. Sold it to the present owner in 2000. "Runs but smokes" is...

    1-of-none '92 Dodge Spirit ESR/T Turbo FS

Yeah, this is not the first one I've owned. I look at them as the Spiritual () descendents of the Dart and Valiant —*Chrysler even called them A-bodies!

Thanks for the props, guys! I've put it up on eBay, too -- we'll see how it goes. Wish I didn't have to sell it, but them's the (4-wheel disc) breaks :-/

65 Dart, GT, GO Go Edition

Still waiting on any documentation that a car could be "ordered as a GO-GO car". So far we're in agreement that it was a dealer add-on package, and the only corporate involvement was an ad campaign. C'mon, Ulf, show us some support for the assertion that a GO-GO car has a special number on the...

65 Dart, GT, GO Go Edition

Nope, you're exactly right. Dealer-installed equipment and other modifications done after the car left the factory (racing stripes, etc.) do not show up on the Certicard or fender tag or build sheet. The only way to prove such a car would be an original invoice spelling out the modifications or...

65 Dart, GT, GO Go Edition

Interesting materials. Looks as if the "Go Go package" was a dealer-installed set of stripes and bolt-ons in conjunction with an advertising campaign. Not any kind of a limited-edition factory package,.

65 Dart, GT, GO Go Edition

"It's Go Go Time!" appears to be a slogan (like "Get Your Kicks in Dart '66" the following year, and "Join the Dodge Rebellion" in '67). I'm not seeing anything in the brochure suggesting the existence of a "special GoGo edition" Dart. Could you get racing stripes? Yes, you could. A couple...

65 Dart, GT, GO Go Edition

It's a nice looking car. I'd want to see some documentation that there was any such thing as a "Go Go edition" of the '65 Dart. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure there wasn't.

    Whats it worth?? 63

You won't be "slapping" a 318 into a '63 Dart. It is a nontrivial swap.
  27. slantsixdan

    Whats it worth?? 63

…neither are those air cleaner and valve cover decals, the PCV valve and oil cap are swapped into each other's locations, the radiator cap isn't genuine, the block and transmission cooler lines are for some reason painted black, the battery and spark plug cables aren't correct…the carpet isn't...

For Sale: 1962 Dodge Lancer GT

No way to tell without pulling the engine. If a '68-up crank is put in front of a '67-down trans, there usually won't be any shifting irregularities or noises, but the trans front pump bearing and seal won't last.

For Sale: 1962 Dodge Lancer GT

That's a '67-'75 RG engine block, so this is almost certainly a 225 but there's an outside, slim chance it's a '70-'74 198. Red paint means either someone took the trouble to spray a '69-up engine or this is in fact a '67-'68 225 engine with its original red paint. If this is a '68 or later...
