    The coupler has a roll pin that has to be knocked out with a punch, then carefully using a pry bar you can seperate it from the steering box.

    We used it on the floor boards of my son in laws dart and it worked good. We did deal with any surface rust first though.

    We put a IDIDIT tilt column in my son in laws 73 dart. Only draw back was had to install the ignition in the dash.

    You talking about the whole dash or just the dash pad? The pad you can change without pulling the dash, but to change the whole dash you'll have to remove the windshield. If you do that save the windshield gasket because there hard to find right now.

    I painted some plastic parts in my dart with Duplicolor plastic paint I bought at NAPA and they came out nice looking. I'm not sure what he used. I think I'd try a satin finish.

    I seen a thread awhile back where someone painted over the wood grain with black and you could still see the grain characteristic. It looked pretty good. You would want to use a plastic adhesion promoter first before spraying the color on.
