    A904 transmission

OK, I'll go as far as to say you should NEVER use a deep pan without the requisite pickup/filter extension.

    A904 transmission

If you don't have the extension to move the intake to the bottom of the pan then the deep pan is useless as the extra quart can't be picked up and moved into the system. You might as well not have changes from the stock shallow pan.

Thinking of moving to Florida in the next year

Buy a house on tall stilts, not sure how to get your cars above the water, and be sure to take your snorkels. I was in Florida a few years ago and thought it would be cool to go to the highest point in the state, which turned out to be in a flat plot of woods next to a rural road side picnic area...

    Thinking of moving to Kentucky..

Man, talk about culture shock! I'd say the same thing to somebody from KY contemplating a move to CA. I'd sure find a way to try that on for size before making the jump. Any way you can go live there for a few months before you just pick up stakes?

Can anyone confirm my car's build date on the fender tag?

All the Dart GTs (option code A65) in 1970 and 71 were 2 door Dart Customs, which were the high end trim cars inside and out (VIN starts with LH23) and then had the A65 option, which was the GT package which included a console shifted automatic and bucket seats and GT badging. I have seen lots...

Was the 273 available in a 68 Barracuda?

    I believe only 2bbl 273s after 1967. And why anyone would pick a 2 bbl 273 over a 2 bbl 318 in 68 or 69 is beyond me...

It's time to have a serious discussion about end-of-life priorities

In praise of reusing parts. Every A-body that I have had has benefited from the use of parts salvaged from dead cars. Why wouldn't I want folks in need of a rebuild to treat my remains the same way???

My wife and I did the whole thing (and a bunch more) West to East last summer - we left the car on the East Coast and are planning to fly out and do Rt66 again the coming summer, back home to WA State. We bought a LOT of books and maps, but when it came down to it our go to book was Route 66...

link to performance of this song at the Grammy's last night. It always reminds me of growing up around Baltimore in the 60s and 70s when for lots of poor folks what they had in their hot rods was all they had, period. A place where they could cruise around and feel on top of the world when the...
