    2005 Hemi ram fuel filter?

Dump a bottle of HEET in the tank to absorb any water. We used to use that all the time on our snowmobiles.

How to properly drill carb jets?

I bought a bunch of brass blank plugs from McMaster Carr that fit my Holley carb. Then bought a pin vise and the numbered drill bits to drill it by hand to the sizing I needed. I was able to make any arrangement of jetting I needed at the time. Might look at their site to see if they off brass...

    New Eddy AVS2

I've been looking at picking one of these up to replace my 1406. I seen the rebate as well which is awesome. Here is the info from the rebate that has very minor stipulations. *Only 4-barrel carburetors (ANY BRAND) in working condition are eligible. Reconditioned, junkyard and 2-barrel...

    AN Fittings

99% Summit Brand on my car as well. I think there were 1-2 pieces that Summit didnt make so I needed to buy Earls. I have not had one single problem with any of their fittings.

    Eddy 1406 Questions

Thanks, Although that article refers to setting up Holley carb, but I understand it was about drilling holes in the blades. For ***** and giggles I called Edelbrock and talked to there carb guy. He said if I have the timing set properly and the idle set to where I want it the mixture screws...

    Eddy 1406 Questions

Ditto Timing was chosen when the engine was on the dyno for break in. 18 initial and 34 total. I've since switched carbs and been working with this one. I am running a PCV. The idle mixture screws do have some affect on the rpm but the car will just chug along even with them closed (one at a...

    Eddy 1406 Questions

Trying to remove the lean bog from my car I wanted to look at how the butterflies looked and were the T-slot was set. So I pulled the carb and noticed that I have an exceptional amount of T-slot showing. So I readjusted and put the carb back on. I started the car and it barely idled now and was...

    Seeking Thermoquad info

Thanks, I plan on raiding my brothers stash this weekend to see what he has and if anything will work on my small block..Im pretty sure almost all of his were BB carbs, but he has no idea what he has either.. So I thought it would be fun to at least inventory what he has for him.

    FiTech EFI system

I've been following along on that page as well. Im still very leery of the unit and Im pretty sure I can spend money elsewhere on my car and still tinker around with the carb. At least if the carb float sticks, I can fix it on the side of the road and continue on my way. However if something...

    Powerblast Plate for Carbs

Wow! I am honestly surprised, I didnt think anyone would say they have bought one. Thanks for your input on what it did for you, do you feel it was worth the money?

    Powerblast Plate for Carbs

The one for my carb is $40. If it was half that price, I might have wasted some money just to see. But, IMO that is a lot of damn money for such a small piece of brass.

    Powerblast Plate for Carbs

I just saw this on Facebook, and had to go to their website and watch the video. Its a fairly long video, but I figured it would make a good discussion. A revolution in carburetor technology: increased carb performance

I was thinking of brazing in a return line in my current sender. Although its only a 5/16 supply. So Im assuming that is to small and I should upsize to the 3/8" sender from the sounds of it? Did you go with the Walbro 255l/hr pump?

    FiTech EFI system

Perfect, Thanks again for the info. Ok I have another question. Those of you that have not used the FCC and did an external fuel pump what did you do about your return line into the tank. Also did you do an intank pump or mounted somewhere else. Would the stock 5/16 line be big enough and how...

I dont have an MSD box, but Im running an HEI set up like what Trailbeast sells. It uses the GM 4 pin HEI module like you mentioned. Not sure if that is important though. I guess what would be the benefits of using the timing control vs. stock set up?

Thank you Rudy and Marion for the info. Marion, you have no idea how many hours I have spent in my garage tuning carbs. I have 3 different carbs in my garage and tuning kits for every one of them. Im still not happy with them totally. Not to mention Im really tired of the cold start sit and...

Johnny, another question. I have a MP with Mallory internals dizzy, but Im running HEI. Will that work with the timing control or will only billet dizzys work with the timing control. If that is the case why is that?

Thank you Johnny and Ken for the quick replies. One question about the vent line. I have a 71 with a gas tank vent system like below. Can I use that tank vent line like in the picture? I would have to add the original line back in but that would make it easier. The first time I saw one of...
