    Crack surrounding door striker

I did mine when I was replacing the quarters. I used a piece cut out of the old quarter and removed the cage behind it and welded it in around the perimeter and also with a couple plug welds in the middle area. Then welded the cage back in.

    Trying to weld, I’m terrible!

I agree. I have been doing welder repair for 30 years. As long as the liner is not too small you are good to go as long as you have the correct tip and drive roll

    Can't open door...Help

Being a convertible it could also be body flex that is keeping it latched. It would not hurt to put a jack under the mount for the front of the leaf spring on that side and take a little weight off of it. I know before I put the frame connectors in on mine doing that would open up the gap at the...

69 barracuda fastback rear quarter panel recommendation.

Goodmark panels are better than rust and as long as you stay away from using their body lines they will work. I don't know how accurate the placement of the marker light is on the 69 panel and I wasn't that worried about the exact placement on my 68. If its off a couple mm not going to sweat it

If you’ve installed Goodmark Quarter Skins please read…

I have done them. They are not perfect but they are better than rust holes. I started off by marking my old quarters and cutting them off with extra left in place. I kept the original top body lines and went from there. I then trimmed the Goodmarks wheel lips to be closer to original size with...

    Door Striker post?

It looks like they did a decent job or repairing it and should outlast our lifetime. There is not any difference in the striker post between years that I know of. Only thing I may do on that would be to fill in the one spot weld tat it looks like was not tacked.

    Door Striker post?

What you have is factory. I repaired both of mine when I had the quarter panels apart. I drilled out the spot welds that hold the capture plate on. Cut a larger patch panel out of the old quarter which I welded on the inside and then welded the cracked metal back. Used the original hole as a...

Keep the original body lines if possible. Make sure you get the bottom tight like it should be and work it up to the top so the fit is good.

'67 Barracuda rear lower valence panel question

Drill lots of holes, weld lots of holes, grind lots of welds and paint. Didn't know how to do mine either but it would up on there anyway. Just lots of time finding all the spot welds and then clamping everything in place.
