those will be tight with fenderwells. 165's rubbed when turning.

I ran a set on the front of the valiant ( 1/4" thick ) because the 15" wheels I was running hit the calipers ( have the larger 11.75 Cordoba rotors ). I always torque my lugs. never had an issue, I have since switched to 17" wheels.

I have an A body 8 3/4 with big bolt pattern axles on my 66 valiant running 17" charger/magnum steelies. no mini tub, no spacers. running 235/45/17 tires.

its been done, at least on some older cars where the section of wheel was painted white for a white wall look. pretty sure Kindigit has done it a couple times. it was on one of the episodes of bitchin rides.

stock small bolt axles? if they are aftermarket large bolt axles one could be for the standard A body small bolt drums the other could be for the b body style brakes.

on my wheels that where pretty Dull and oxidized we sanded them with a DA and some 220 grit then 400,600, 800 if i did it again as bad as these were i would have started with some 100 or 120 grit and speed things up before polishing. but now that they are polished a hit with the buffer from time...
