All 1970-72 A Bodies used that style drum on the rears.

    Disc or drum

There is more surface area with drums than discs... Which is exactly why it takes less line pressure to make them work. Disc or drum

9 inch drums are marginal, but if you are dealing with 10s, you are not going to improve on braking power or distance, unless repeated high speed stops are part of the program. Drums hold better, offer more surface area so they require less pedal effort, are approximately 50 pounds lighter and...

    E brake cable 7.25 to 8.75 rear?

Thats wrong. 67-71 are unequal length that mount on the driver side. 72-up reverts back to the 63-66 style of short, equal length cables. That said, the answer to the original question is yes, the cables from your 7.25 will work on your 8.75

Casey, I was only letting him know that I had the parts he needed for the swap, and their prices. For the record, you need a set of master cylinder lines and prop valve from any 1967-up car with drum brakes.

Will 1963 Backing Plates Fit My 8 3/4

You do realize that you can pretty much just bolt that 63 B rear right into your A Body. It's only 1.5 inches wider overall, and if you slot the holes eon the perches inboard 1/2 inch on each side, it will fall right in.

Will 1963 Backing Plates Fit My 8 3/4

That would work, just make sure you get the axles with a B Body center register.
  23. whitepunkonnitro

Will 1963 Backing Plates Fit My 8 3/4

Yes and no..depends on the axle being used. If stock A Body 8.75, no. The register and bolt circle are different If B Body or aftermarket A with BBP, then yes.
