Prob work fantastic! I just have access to scrap materials for free so it's what I used.

I jumper wired the ignition hot to constant hot. This way the fans can still run when engine is off. This is a part time drag car and did it this way so that if I was running hotlaps at track could still cool car in staging lanes.

Here is the final install! All done and operational. I think it turned out pretty good I think.

you basically doubled your cruise rpm. that is what is going on. the motor is making more revolutions and creating more heat for the same amount of air flow across the radiator. you have a couple options. fix the overdrive. go bigger on the rad. or get more air thru the rad. I am in the process...

This is my set up. 1860 cfm each. Fans have rubber weather stripping sealing them to core. Air holes allow air to pass thru at freeway speeds. Never seem north of 180*.

if the car heats up at low speeds/idle then its not enough fan. if it heats up at high speeds its not enough radiator. I would check your water level. the factory gauges are extremely inaccurate. to really know what is going on you need an aftermarket gauge.

My understanding is that if the car heats up on freeway then its not enough radiator. If it heats up in traffic its not enough fan.

I was thinking the same thing but how do you know the on/off temps? The control box is adjustable so I guess it dont matter, just so long as the sender has 2 wire hook up?

well turns out it the temperature probe that is no good. tech told me to cut the 2 wires going to the probe and connect them and the fans should come one. well they did. i got a new probe on the way.

its a 2 wire sending unit.

I wonder...... are the temp sending units interchangeable? Id be down to buy a new high quality sending unit if thats all it took.
