10.62:1 compression. Cams a bit small but it’s still a pump gas street car.

I went with the 270 head because I know im at my blocks limits. Car went 9.80’s with my 240 heads on my 470” with a gasket matched hi ram and 750’s. I’m guessing new setup good for another 60-75hp. We’ll see.

Bigs performance carbs is building me custom carbs. My intake and heads are going to Wilson manifolds as soon as I get the tunnel ram. Doing full competition port job and gasket match on intake and heads. Hoping for big hp gains.

My linkage was $99 on eBay. Had to modify it a bit and make a bracket. Yes my dart is a street car 100%

I think linkage and fuel lines are easier with side mounted plus I don’t think you can run 4150’s in line

I had a pretty rowdy 383 in my dart for a few years. Car went 11.50’s in full street trim. My car ran fastest with eddy rpm intake and trick flow heads. Slowed down .2 with victor intake. I ran 4500 dynamic converter with 4:10’s and 28” radial.

. I have to kindly disagree. The performer rpm intake is best for mildly upgraded 440. Its outta breathe at 6000rpm. Eddy heads with 84cc chambers and that intake, with this cam OMP Cams Xtreme Energy Camshafts 23-232-4

That 451 with a light weight aftermarket piston is an amazing engine that revs like a small block. I will NEVER build stock displacement again. It’s too easy to build cubes now a days.

Why is 10:1 the limit? Detonation?
