    How to Dry Compressed Air

Air going in makes a big difference. Hot, humid air from outside is going to drop out a lot more water. So if you can pull air from an air conditioned space it should help. If you can do tubes like above on wall in a cool space it should ring out a lot more water. Thats all a refrigerated...

    Oil or oil-free air compressor

I have a HF Horizontal oil lubed-VERY loud compared to the probably 30 year old Cambell Hausfeld it replaced. Have had over a year now. Guess I never really though about where the noise is coming from. Might try this...

    1/2 cordless impact opinions

We have all Dewalt at work. The 1/2 impact is great. I borrowed it to take wheels off a car in a yard. Zip,zip,zip…..No problem. Got to last one and a lug nut was seized. Stayed on it till it busted the stud. But I would take a Milwalkee drill over Dewalt any day. Mostly the...

    1/2 cordless impact opinions

I got a set with 1/2inch hammer drill and a small impact driver over 10 years ago when I built my deck. Love them! After a lot of use and abuse over the years I had replaced the brushes and switch in the drill. While both still work good, I mentioned to my wife I didn't know how much longer...

    Retractable work light doesn't retract

Yep, 2 possibilities. This above where cord is stacking wrong and won't fit can usually be resolved by how it feeds in. Or is it out of spring tension at that point? If that, it is either weak, or lost position. Then it depends if you can get it to wind up tighter. I would guess that is...

    Nitrile gloves, or better alternatives?

I've been getting the 5mil fromHF. I notice lately they don't seem as tough as they used to. We use 5mil at work and they hold up better. Still OK for most jobs. If really getting in heavy grease or nasty chemicals. I will double up as someone else said. Just change the outer pair if needed,

    Extension Cord Fried

Failure at the plug is often due to bad contact. High amps just helps you find the problem faster. Lol What wattage drier? Were you using full heat? That’s where most of the amps run high. Just blowing air on low heat would probably be OK

    Need a new flashlight

I got a Fenix E20 a few months ago. Takes 2 AA batteries and gives great light. 4levels. Stays on the level you leave it on. Great for maintenance. I can use less light up close inside a machine etc. Or crank it up and see something in the ceiling or much farther away outside at night...

    Mig welder

If you are really only going to do the pans, I'd probably work through with what you have. As said, it WILL weld them, just not the prettiest job. I knew I would have a lot more to do on mine so got a Hobart 140. No regrets. Have used it on many other things besides the Duster. If you get a...

New Spray Paint Cans That Stop Spraying After The First Squirt?

Strongly agree - great paint, nice finish. Used a bunch of theirs on my car. Mostly 'Dual', and 'Maxx' I think both of those will work on just about anything metal, plastic. I don't think they do 'any angle' As I recall can still flip it and clear.

New Spray Paint Cans That Stop Spraying After The First Squirt?

Not sure what they do internally to allow it to spray any direction. Older cans that have a pickup tube to the bottom would do that. If they sat a long time it's got the heavy goo in the bottom till you shake it. One push of the button and it sucked it into the tube and clogged. That tube to...

New Spray Paint Cans That Stop Spraying After The First Squirt?

Cold paint or metal ain't gonna work well. I have put a lot of cans in the sun to warm up. As for the newer 'any angle'cans. They are great when they work. ... I have had a couple that dripped all over. Don't recall any clogged from brand new, but you cant flip them over and clear the...

    HF air compressor

Did fine painting my car earlier this year... Good to know, was not aware they would price match. I think the HF's are OK. But.. From what I have seen the Kobalts are Campbell Hausfeld. Most non-industrial compressors are 'disposable', but should be lot easier finding parts for the CH when...

I have a Milwaukee that has outlasted a few others. That said, I currently have 3 or 4 others that I like to have set up with diff wheels (cut, sand, grind...) I think they include Craftsman, Ryobi, Skil. I wouldn't be afraid to go with any name brand for a good deal. One big consideration...
