    welcome from another PA member. Tell us about your project ... And FABO rule #1 - no picture, it didn't happen.LOL. Are you a "young gun"? Didn't see where you indicated an age. Maybe your an old gun?

    Coolant sensor

    Sounds like what I put on my wood stove circulator fan could work. I have it set-up for the fan to run only when the stove is warm, so mine is normal open, but you can get them N.C on eBay. Just search 'thermal switch closed' and find one with temp you want.

    Noob question on separating block / tranny

    I did not find a V marked on mine. The plug is directly opposite though, so used that as reference point. Be sure to mark it near the outer holes though on both the plate and converter. I was not able to see the small hole in plate with trans in place on engine.

    Here my slant when I pulled it and right before it went back in. I welded up a cart, but seen plenty of pics on here with mover dollies. I ran chain around the bumper shock mounts (which I know you dont have), not sure what you can use but grab something solid the furthest front you can get...

    Just 'linkage clip', I think I also saw them as 'throttle rod clips' somewhere. Should be available in most parts stores, but may be in assortment packs. You know the ones with every variation but the one you actualy need...

    What kind of dope do you use

    Stuff I used is Permatex, almost same as that one, but 'high temp' rated to 400 instead of 300. ( on slant, they all hit water)

    Sounds like you are set on the drop-in, so just an FYI...with a bit of planning, from the bottom is just so smooth ! - I had never done one before either. Put my slant in from the bottom the other day including suspension work. Had it in and sitting on the tires in about 6 hours - by myself...
