    I hate BMW’s

We had a 325i convertible that I wanted to swap a small block with a 5 speed into, with side pipes, roll bar, flared fenders and big ol wide tires and a blower sticking out of the hood. Wife wouldn’t let me dangit.

340 stock manifold to header adapter question

Oh! I misunderstood what you want to do- you want to temporarily hook the system up to the manifolds for a test stand? In that case, you could use the type of ball flange that you referenced above, and just put an elbow on it to connect to the pipe/mufflers. But to use a ball flange on a...

    Balancer slides in on install

Just to update this thread, I ordered a basic Dampener from Summit crossing my fingers it would be a press fit and not a bad crank. Didn't have time for a full install, but yesterday went out to the garage quickly and tried to slide it on the crank snout- it slides on by hand the first bit, but...

If it would have had an air grabbing six pac hood on the car it would have flipped over on its roof.

340 stock manifold to header adapter question

Now I see what your needing to do! You could see if an exhaust shop has some 2 1/4" two hole flanges that will bolt to your manifolds, and get them to weld you a piece of pipe to them in a way that you could hook to them. Places that do exhaust work always have stuff like that in a scrap pile...

Hemi Swapping a perfectly good 70 Duster

Forgot to mention what I did there. The factory rods connect to a "mushroom" head type stud. They easily knocked out of the z-bar. I think they were just pressed in and not even welded. (aftermarket z-bar). The pedal was another story. If I remember correctly, I had to cut the head off and drill...
