My friends dad had one in an 81 f150 ranger, it was so loose you could move it around in the studs. Tightened it up and we solved the poor running issues! They are a good engine. I've always loved that body style. Maybe it was because that was the time I was coming if age with cars and trucks...

Hagerty did a you tube on adding headers to a 440, not that long ago. Mild Comp XE Cam, factory intake, factory TQ carb. I do not remember the exact amount of the HP increase, but it was substantial, with a big increase at lower rpms, good for the street.

I've never heard of a heli coils hold in a cylinder head bolt hole not to say that they don't work. We wasn't the one's who installed it it was the machine shop, after the heli coil failure the block was junk. Are you using something other than a heli coil ?
