By this time, I wonder if the oil has all been washed off the cylinder walls , and the compression is really weak. If you have been pumping the gas pedal, guess where the gas has been going. Ima thinking it would be a good idea to put some oil back into the cylinders.

Call bullshit all you want but I can swap out an intake that fast. It’s not any quicker with a pig iron big block. I mean if six extra bolts slows someone down that much they need to look to do other work. Like working a drive through.

All the issue spots are repaired and I AM DONE PAINTING THIS THING! It still needs a bit of cutting and buffing to get a lot of overspray off it. It will get much more shine when it’s done but now I can do it and know I don’t have to do it again because I have to paint more.

I could be wrong here but I thought that the OP already had the system primed but wasn't getting oil to the valve train. If that's the case then would it cause harm to the valve train by spinning it over with the starter. If I misunderstood, I apologize for giving the OP bad information.
