I have a cone type SG unit, but don't know what it is for. A 7 1/4 ring gear is too small to fit on. I don't have a 8 1/4 or 8 3/4 gear to measure. Can someone measure a 8 1/4 ring gear for me? Thanks

Does anyone know if a speed sensor from a later model TF (like a A-500) can be used in a 68 up 904 trans, to be used as a "trigger" for a aftermarket cruise control. Rather then putting magnets on the drive shaft.

1988 trans (904) is the converter lockup control, pressure apply-spring release, or spring apply-pressure release. Strickly hydraulic control, not electric. Thanks

Does any one know if the tail/OD unit can be swapped between the A-500 and A518 transmission main cases?

Not "A" body, but I respect many of the trans "experts" on here. Purchesed a 1988 D150, 2 wheel drive, to use as a tow vehicle for my race car. Truck has a 360 4bbl, 727 trans. I'm thinking of installing either a A500 or 518 to improve fuel mileage. My old Toyota PU, would get 18-19 MPG towing...

I have several/many 904 transmissions, that I would like to identify. At one time I did find a chart, to decode the number on the pan rail. I can't find that chart now. Can anyone link me to it? Thanks

Any one know what u-joint to purchase? Need to adapt a driveshaft from a 340/904/8.75 Dart, with the small rear joint to fit a 8.75 rear with the larger yoke. I don't want to change the yoke, as the Pumpkin is a borrowed piece. Thanks.
