so i recently bought a 1970 340 engine n want to know whaat would be the best transmission for it. im taking my /6 with 904 tranny out of my demon n want to save as much money as possible. help

So im swapping out my /6 for a 340 long block, and i want to use a 904 transmission but can i keep my /6 tranny?? or how can i convert it to run more better with 340 if possible?? :newb:
