Ok what are the Odds of successfully drilling the main bolts on a 318 to accept bolts for the windage tray out of a 340? Has anyone tried this, or am i stuck popping a hundred bucks for a set of main bolts for windage trays?

I know i'll never hear the end of this, but i hate paying for something i can do myself with the correct knowledge, with that being said, can someone tell me how much i need to add to my stock 318 oil pan, to bring it up to an 8 quart pan? Thanks guys..
