Chrysler inner wheel bearing grease seal

It seems that no matter which seal driver I choose, it is going to be trying to drive the seal in by contacting the seal rather than the steel ring. Can this possibly be the correct way to install it? Won't I wreck the seal by trying to install it this way?

"Save my bacon" on p/s pump rebuild?

I am trying to learn how to rebuild the Saginaw model .94 power steering pump. On the one I reassembled today, I have about 1/8" of end play on the pump shaft. It doesn't seem like it had this much end play before, but I could be wrong. Is this too much end play? If so, can you kindly suggest...

Need a source for a good quality rebuilt Mopar model .94 P/S pump

I need to find a source for a better-quality ham can P/S pump than the A-1 Cardone rebuilts that I have been getting. I don't want to knock Cardone; suffice it to say that I have had several Cardone P/S pumps go bad within the warranty period; I am getting tired of replacing them; and I am ready...

Cal Tracs rear suspension or multi-link suspension kit?

I'd sure appreciate it if somebody could explain to me why you would choose one or the other. I'm not very smart about suspensions. Right now the rear suspension on my car is composed strictly of mix-n-match parts (it's pretty lousy!). I'm leaning toward a Cal Tracs because I really like the...

    Which torsion bar to use?

I have a '62 Valiant with a Mopar small-block V8 and 8" X 15" wheels that I don't intend to take to the strip at this time. I want it to handle the twisties instead. Should I use the .890, the .870 or the .810 torsion bars? Thanks a lot.

Shortening and threading strut rods to gain caster?

'65SignetSweden told me that "drift car" drivers will cut additional threads in their strut rods in order to obtain more caster. It appears to me that this would be possible, but because of the way Mopar strut rods mount, the rod would also have to be shortened at the same time the additional...

How can I improve the steering on my '62 Valiant V8 conversion?

I sure wish I could improve the steering on my Valiant. I'm using the slow-ratio manual steering box, stock A-arms, and disc brakes. Tire size is 205/55-15 in the front and 225/60-15 in the rear; rim size is 15" X 8". I had to use the smaller tire in front in order to get the suspension height...
