ok it's a stock 225 slant six with a holley 1920 1 bbl i just rebuilt it now when i'm driving in the city it's fine but at 65+mph it's running rough and it has bad run on and smokes while it's running on the smoke comes out of the air filter i'm thinking it the timing but why is it worse now...

when my engine is warm i'll stop at a store for something shut my engine of for 10-15 minutes. when i get back in the car i go to start it and i have to crank it over for 30+ seconds before it will fire does anyone know why this happens and what i can do to fix it? i drive a 73 scamp with a 225...
