273 oil pan gasket, need to change on 66 Dart

How hard is it to change on my '66 Dart? I thought I read somewhere that I don't have to pull the engine, just unbolt engine and tranny mounts and lift a few inches to remove the pan. Can someone clue me in??? thanks

Poll for all you wrench turners

I've often wondered if the term "bolt right in" is ever an accurate description of how things go in the shop.

Made up my mind about more HP, now a ?

I've decided I'll be moving up in hp on the Dart. One of my friends operates a machine shop, is a mopar-or-nocar guy, and has several operating engines in storage. I'm going to look at them and he has 318s, 360s, a 383, and a 440. One of his 318s is a stroked one he did for his old service...

    Coming this fall......more HP

I know a local guy who's operated his own machine shop for years and is a mopar advocate. While glancing at his racks loaded with heads I queried about a better pair for my 273. He said "H*ll, why just heads? I've got a complete '72 318 setting up top there, just needs a rebuild." He then...

    Early A's getting pricey

Thumbing through Hemmings and saw Russo & Steele moved a '66 Dart gt convertable for 19,250. From the fender badge it appeared to be just a straight 273 in what they called 'restored #3' condition. "WOW!!" I guess a rising tide raises all boats...........or something like that.

    273 badges on a 66 Dart?

I'm wondering if anyone has knowledge of front fender 273 emblems on a 66 Dart? I'm dressing up my dodge with hi-po options and needed to find some pics of front fender badging. I currently have the v-8 emblems on it. thanks in advance.

Does your S/O like your early A-body?

I took my wife and son to pick up my 66 Dart. When she saw it she was speechless..........really. Her first words were "That's an old lady car!" Her next ones were "Your not selling the Cutlass!" She loves it.........I can tell.
