Does this look original or 1971 replacement? Taken from my barn find '65 with '76 tags. Its coming out for the new AMD 1963 flanged tank that looks like a direct fit with a slightly different gasket only. It's fitted to a flange on the tank instead of free floating on the filler tube.

63 tank looks identical with maybe a flanged filler neck? CR11F is the 63 and CR11A is the 64-66 without the little rubber grommet on the filler neck. Necks are the same part number...AMD has 63 tanks for cheap, but no listing for 64-66 63 with flange dealio 64-66 without the flange dealio

had a discussion on old 273 bolt hole angles (and sizes) and found this pic I took of a 64 block with a 65 intake. The casting lines line right up with the bolt centerline and are obviously not like the newer heads. maybe this will help visualize the difference.
