    Question does stall convertor rpm happen between shifts ?

    Just wondering eg.. Does say a shift point at 6500 rpm drops to 4000 rpm but your stall is 5000 rpm does it drop the stall 5000 rpm or 4000 rpm or somewhere inbetween ?

    Drag racing classes

    Which classes do most of you guys race in? I plan on building my Jeep Grand Cherokee for the track I’m guess i would be in some kind of bracket racing. I’ve never raced before plus I’m in Canada but i assume we have similar classes.

    AWD vs RWD

    I got a beat up 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 AWD, I want to turn it into pure drag only. Would it be better to try to keep it AWD or switch it to RWD, I’m guessing RWD will be better, but don’t have and track experience, wondering what you guys think??

    Picking gears

    Just got a 68 Valiant not too long ago 360/380hp create engine, 2800 stall 727 with 2.96 gears. I want to take it down the strip a few time with the 2.96 gears but looking to upgrade somewhere between 3.55 - 4.10 haven't narrowed it down yet. From what I understand you should be 500 - 600 rpm...

    I'm just playing around to see what my options are. So I got a 65 cuda with a 318 when done I'm hoping it can do between 100-110 in the quarter mile. So let's say it does 105. I hear you want to be 400 - 500 rpm past peak power so say I want to be 6500 rpm. So that would be 4.56 gears with 25"...
