The heat has been pretty oppressive the last two weeks in Indiana, so I figured it was time to get this project done and spend some time in the AC.
I took a couple 7/8" diameter 12-point titanium aircraft bolts I bought off eBay years ago and made them into crankshaft damper bolts.

10-12 hours of machining to take a raw casting to retail. I am going to guess that those machines are in the $250 an hour range, so that's $2500 to $3000 worth of machine work.
This will help explain why a new block cost so much.

I did a 65 cubic inch plenum volume reduction on a Mopar M1 Tunnel Ram top to better suit my intended RPM range usage. I think it turned out very well. A little beveling, welding, smoothing, and it will be ready to go.
