When introducing the 273 in the model year it was first a two barrel carb at 180 hp. For the 1965 model year Chrysler introduced the 273 in two versions. A two barrel 273 still at 180 hp and then the new 273 four barrel engine. 235 hp, Carter AFB carb on a cast iron four barrel intake, hp...
I'm helping a friend of mine putting this car back in shape.
He and his wife were out driving when they got hit in the front.
He brought it to me and I stripped the car down to help the metal man.
After 6 month the car was back in shape. The metal man did magic on the car. Fabricated all the...
After the convertible was sold I found a two owner Dart 270. It was registred in 1965 and used as a taxi until 1970. Then it was sold and used occationly until the mid 80ies.

So I ran across this car outside San Fransisco last year. Now I got it in my shop. Some smaller rust issues , paint, top, interior, engine/front end and brakes and we're good to go!!
Detroit built car. 273 V8 auto, later added a/c.
This winter is the first winter for the last 15 year that I don't have a project working on. Well I have a rear end I'm gonna finish for the lastest Dart Charger 273.
So this winter I offered my buddy Johan to restore and change his convertible top on his Dart. As you can see there are some...
Finally the next project showed up today. Rostfree body, toasted interior and lots of work.
Need to list all the work to fire it up. More pictures to come.
When I bought this car in 2007 I had no knowledge that there wasn't to many of them out there.
So when Gearge Garard from Novato, CA called me a Saturday night while we were watching a movie I could not believe it.
But after an hour we set a deal and the car showed up in May 2007.
This is...
Last week I was able to buy a 1965 Dodge Dart 270 2 dr sedan from the first owner.
Back in 1965 he and his wife vent on a honeymoon to Pennsylvania. During this trip they rented a Dart 2 dr sedan. Before heading home they wanted to buy a 1965 Ford Mustang but due to problems with delivery of...
One of the wagons that I bought was extremly rusty in the C-post so I'm thinking of making it to a one-of-none Australia ute!
273 HP w/Offenhauser 2x4bbl with 4 speed. Red on red with Cragar wheels.

A friend of mine has asked me to do a reference resto on his engine, transmission and the front end. It's for a 1968 Dodge Dart GT convertible that was equipped with 273 x 2 bbl, automatic on the column, power top and bench seat.
I will just do the front end for him.
Since I've been into...
Late last night the wagon arrived from US. Thanks God nothing happened to the car.
The car was way better then I expected so this will be a great car to start with. I'll get back with my plans later.
Scott! You were right. This is a good starter. Thanks for all the help you provided me...
I'm doing a full rotissery restoration on a 1965 DartCharger.
I have collected NOS and mint stuff for 25 years. I will start with how the car looked when it arrived here in Sweden.
Right now the car is media blasted and new sheet metal is welded in.
Now I'm finally on my way. The car is painted and the chrome is getting back in place.
The interior will go back as soon as I have cleaned it up.
I'll keep you posted
I've seen in Mopar Collectoirs Guide that there is a company called Auto Body Specialties Inc who reproduce front floorpans for 1963 - 1966 A-body. Is there anyone out there who have some experience with them? Actually that's the only one I've heard of except Layson.
