My carter bbd is leaking from the from the throttle body linkage. Its the original carb on the 318 in my 68 fastback. Is there a bushing that can be replaced on the shaft?

I am switching my 318 to a 4bbl with a eddy preformer intake. which AVS carb can I use. It has A/T and no A/C. Can I use one that was made for a car with A/C. What will I need to do to the intake? thanks for the help
