    W series heads on a 59* block

I have been racking my brain and reading a ton on this.. I have a 59* R1 block and some badass ported W9 heads to go with it.. I have some offset TD rockers .650 to compensate for the lifter bore spacing which makes a hideous push rod angle that quite frankly scares me. With my W9's I can't run...

    W9 valve train question

I'm using some W9 heads on a 59* R1 block (tall deck) the lifter bores have been brushed and prepped by Ray Barton. Phil Colman set the heads up to use them specifically for this block. The W9 heads obviously use an offset Rocker which I using a T&D rocker. I was told that with a 48* block to...

What is your HP to cube ratio?

I have been told that with my 416 I should only look to be around 600-630 HP b/c of the HP rule of thumb (1.5 hp per CI ) meaning 1.5x416=total hp? However I have a buddy that has a 393 SB mopar with W8 heads that made 730hp. I was hoping to break into the 700hp realm with this setup.

What route with my new build to take?

So my last build blew up in 7 min and now I'm in need of an new short block. I was a over 450hp build using as much of my current build as possible (oil pan, accessories, ported 2.02 valve heads, ported air gap intake, 750 holley, etc.) I don't want to spend a ton on it... I can either build a...
