...sounds like the fan belt but the belt tension is ok. When I first start the car after a couple days I get this high pitch screech and the voltmeter shows 18 volts charge. It settles down to normal charge and the screech stops after about 1 - 2 minutes. Any ideas?

On a '68 Dart, do the flashers only work on the tailights, or should the parking lights flash also. I can't tell from the schematic I have. I think that long ago, maybe just the tailights flashed.
