  • This 1968 Barracuda was built on Jan 2 1968 and ordered with a 318/2.73 axle, A/C, Red side stripes, E70x14 Red stripe tires, bucket seats, center console, High trim grade, White car with maroon interior.

I still have a 318 .30 over, balanced and blueprinted with a Lunati cam. I have added a QA1 six link with double adjustable coil over shocks, rear sway bar, Firm Feel upgrades in the front including a bigger front tubular sway bar, tubular control arms, greasable lower control arm pins, HD strut rods, HD tie rods, KYB gas adjust shocks,18 inch Coys polished aluminum rims, 4 wheel MBM disc brakes, Doug's headers, Fi-Tech 600hp throttle body, AEM high flow electric fuel pump, FlowKooler water pump, Aluminum radiator with 2300 CFM electric fan, 100 amp alternator, CVF racing polished aluminum brackets and valve covers, pertronix ignitor ignition, Flow Tech mufflers, h pipe with 3 inch exhaust. It has a 727 TF 2k stall and an 8 3/4 rear end with 3.55 gears. I was seduced by this older woman on July 5th 1985 and have loved her everyday.

I do have a 1968 383 in the garage my Dad purchased for me before he passed away. I have just put it on the engine stand to start the rebuild...still thinking maybe I should stay with the old combo but man I like the big block.

Love that body style. My wife had a 68 before we got married and has always wanted a another one (hard to find). I guess she will have to settle for the scamp. Nice ride
