´68 BB Radiator Finish?

What would correct original finish of the cooling package be?
Not the tank or frame. That would be Semi Glossy Black or something (correct my terminology)
 
Contact Bob at Glen-Ray Radiator, everyone else here would just have a guess, Bob does this everyday and has for decades...

Over the phone is something I try to avoid, since some of you guys are using a very goofy dialect :)
I don´t even understand some of my native southerners here in Sweden.
Someone ought to have an unmolested rad in his low mileage car… we will see...

I hear ya, I have been hanging out with a Finn who lives in Sweden for the last 3 weeks, you guys talk funny...
 
I was there in 1968- my choice on my radiator is semi-gloss. Full gloss is too much and a flat black is not enough gloss.

Yes, but question is cooling package, the fins… My application is going to have some over spray, and I want to start with a correct "background" to make this look good.
Or do you mean Rad as a whole was black

Well not any over spray on radiator but radiator support as a clarification...
 
Radiators were painted before they were installed, so they were all black with no overstay anywhere. The radiator support is all body color except for some models that painted the front of the support flat black to prevent the body color from showing through the front grill. Hope this helps.

There was one odd duck in 1968 that had everything in gray primer till engine compartment got a hurried black paint job.
I´m trying to recreate one. We know them as the SS Hemi A-bodies.
 
There is no paint on the Hemi SS Darts other than the gloss black the entire front, floor, trunk, and door pillars were painted. The only gray primer on the car was the quarters, rockers, doors, roof, and trunk lid.

I put my money here...
The entire chassis was in gray primer to start with. Engine compartment, door pillars and trunk was painted black. Not floor.
Radiator support and under front bumper was also gray since engine comp. was painted when car had been assembled.
Front clip of the Barracuda was in gray. Undercarriage and wheel wells was left in gray.

I must correct my self here.
Mopar usually don´t have chassis, so body is the word I think.
Than a verification is always desirable. I don´t think I should post others photos even if it´s from old car magazines, but this showing overspray on front clip when engine compartment was painted, is already out on the net.
This means radiator support is mostly in gray, since covered by grill and stuff, except for some over spray on upper part close to the top profile.
