Selling a rebuilt ‘71 340 shortblock. Casting date is 6/29/70
Stamping on the driver’s front head flange: GW340P33640033
VIN stamp is 1B184616
Also factory stamped with Maltese cross and “X” so it was a factory .010/.010 crank and bearing assembly.

Decodes to a Windsor Ontario built engine (10/13/70 date, 33rd engine assembled that day) and went into a Hamtramck car so original to a ‘71 A Body or E body.

Has been cleaned, magged, sonic tested, bored & honed .060 over, and decked. Crank turned to .020/.020. Rods resized w/ARP bolts and new pin bushings. Assembly balanced.

Block has been sonic tested and was blueprint assembled. It comes with the assembly sheet, sonic test results, and piston and balancing paperwork. Cam bearings are installed but not clearanced. All new block hardware and brass core plugs. Pistons are .020” above deck.

Pistons are KB243-060. Ring set is also KB and they are gapped properly for these pistons and heavy use but no boost or NO2. Durabond cam bearings. Cleavite rod and main bearings.

Comes with factory windage tray, oil pan, cam retaining plate, and oil slinger. Would make a nice mild engine and verified safe at .060 over for that type of build. Willing to discuss finishing the engine for the buyer for additional money. Located in Columbia CT 06237.

EDIT: will crate and ship for additional money. Or can deliver or meet up to 250 miles from my zip code for additional fee.

Asking $2500.00 or show up with cash and make an offer. Cash or MO, with deposit via PayPal.
