It finally went down in Baytown. I raced my '69 'Cuda against the world's crappies 55 Chevy. We only got one pass because I am having a bad blow-by problem stemming from my ProComp heads. I fell asleep at the light and was not prepared to launch. So, I just nailed it about half a second after the green light. Still beat him by a hundredth of a second. Managed 13.91 @104mph.

Need to improve 60'

So......what was his reaction to the win?

Congrats.

Something is off there. Were you spinning bad? That mph should have you down in the 12s!

Also congrats and I am sure it was a blast!

So wheres his time you should both be on the same slip....

Get it to a 2.0 60' and it will run high 12's. It's got good MPH.

Learn to walk the car out a bit with a 4 speed.

I went with 26" M&H's. I have no complaints at all about them. Even when I did a weak burnout they still grabbed off the line and I never felt them spin. Apparently they don't slow my car down either.

I went 12.60@ 103, i was on the rev chip for 40-50 yards so i dont know how much more it would have gained?

I think what RRR was asking was what was the cheby guy's response to your winning the race.

The op was one mph off from you but a second slower. Like I said with his mph he should be in the 12s like you.

That's what I'm thinking too. That's a 12 sec car judging by mph.

With a 2.5 60', if it wasn't spinning the tires, it either bogged badly or the clutch was slipping a ton.

You should be able to let the clutch out barely above idle, roll aggressively into the throttle and get a 2.0-2.2 60' time.

X2 Did you try to launch the car before hand to see if it will handle it?
