My 69 Dart Service Manual states that the 10" front brake lining is 2 1/2" wide. Is that correct? I only see front brake shoes for sale that are 2 1/4" wide.

From the factory, they ONLY came with 10" x 2 1/4"
From 1963 - 1972....
The brake shoes should NOT go from top lip to bottom lip -- so if someone "stuffed" 10" x 2 1/2" in there; it will be a problem.
In 1973 - 1976, there was stock 10" x 2 1/2" -- however, the actual drum total depth is 2 3/4", because, again, the brake shoes are NOT ever designed to go " lip - to - lip".
And, the great news, is I have N.O.S. ++ Asbestos ++ for 10" x 2 1/4" Fronts, the 10" x 1 3/4" Rears, and the later 10" x 2 1/2" applications.....
Any questions, feel free to call me --
Craig -- although now you have to do it through PMs....
Don't get that new garbage (they are forced to sell) -- they will rip your drums to smithereens......
