15x8 wheels

Has anyone run a 15x8 wheel with 4.5" backspacing and a 235/60/15 tire on their early abody without the offset hangers, minitub or spring relocation kit? I've heard it may be possible.

I'm going to run that tire but use a 15X7 rim or maybe a 15x6. I know the tire fits but you just have to get the offset just right.

i've got 235/60x15s on 15x7s and it looks like there's room for a bit more

I have 15x6.5 steel wheels with P255/60 15 tires on the rear of my 1966 Valiant and they fit awesome! I have mopar superstock springs which really helps.
