16x8 Wheels on a 64 Valant

I just posted this in another area of the forum, but this seems the better choice. Can 16"x8" wheels with a 4" bs fit on the front of a 1964 Valiant? How tall of a tire will fit? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I had trouble with my 63 Valiant. Using a 24-25'' tall tire they would rub in turns.The car was equipt with the 73 up factory disc set up. I rolled the lip and trimmed some of the front fender,lower front corner.Better but still rubbed if turning and hitting a dip.Front was about a inch below the stock ride hight.It's gonna be tough with a 8'' rim with 4'' back space.I usually will pick a 4 1/2'' backspace with a 8'' rim.
