The wife said she would buy me a set of rims for Xmas. I have searched and searched and not found a definite answer and maybe someone here could help. I'm looking to put 17's on the front, I have the 73+ brakes and the stock 67 sway bar set-up. I tried to put the American Racing Torqlites on and they were 17x7 with 4.00" BS with 225-45-17 tires and they did a nice job wrinkling the front fender. The 15" rims I pulled off had 4.250" of BS. Should I go back with 4.250 BS or increase slightly to possible 4.5". I was looking at the Centerline Retro's due to they have a December sale and they are $249 a wheel and I have optional backspacing (3.5-5.0) when ordering.

Must go with 4.5 backspacing. But that might be about it with the 66-72 wide swaybar. More than that probably will hit the swaybar at max cranked over steering.

If you ran the 73-76 K-member and swaybar you could run 5" backspacing and some good sized rubber like 245/45/17's
