170 six i shatter the cluch and bellhousing?????

So today im driving my 1969 western sport dart out to storage cuz i just dont have time to play with it. Shes an old three on the tree manual 170 slant six car. Grandma owned and got it about a year ago, im second owner. well im drivin along to freeway a steady cruz at 65mph then she gets a bit shaky and all of a sudden BOOM!!!!!!!!!! wtf!!?? so pull over and get out the car and im thinkin ok i ether blew a tire or that squeaky ol wheel bearing finally gave out. to my surprise she looked fine. so i poped the hood and looked around and to my surprise where the bellhousing should bolt up, it was completly severed from the motor. "what the hell?" so call up a tow truck and got it to storage. now my only thoughts are track down the bellhousing and slap it back together or just say the hell with it and throw a smallblock 4 speed set up in it. dont know yet got plenty of time to think it over. what do you guys think i should do?? but what a hell of a day ive had.

I've been underrating those 170s! ops: Didn't know they had that kind of power! :wack:

Smallblock and 4 speed still sounds good to me, though.

lol i doubt it han anything to do with power. the cars old and i've played with the clucth lets say droped it at 4000 rmp ops: so it was bound to happen lol

Yup I made up my mind, now just to find a 408 and a 4 speed and really have some fun
