Selling a fresh A833, has not had oil added since overhaul. Had a new 3rd gear installed due to worn engagement teeth. This is the Commando box from 64-65, converted to a 68 and later style tailhousing.

These transmissions work well with numerically lower rear gears due to deep first gear ratio.

Im curious I have an 62 833 with the trunion tailshaft, will the later tail shafts interchange, also are the any internal parts that interchange

The mainshaft changes, you have to get a later style tailhousing, and output seal.

FYI, the 833 did not come out until 1964 so your transmission is either a ‘64 or ‘65.
