Been reading a lot but still can't come up with a solution for motor mounts. Is everyone making their own mounts.? Seems from older threads some outfit used to make them but no longer does.
I'm building a 66 barracuda using a 2007 5.7 with a Ford T56 Magnum on 17" magnum 500s. Using SRT 300C manifolds, Mcleod 10.5" flywheel, Holley pan, Mopar performance intake and throttle body with their stand alone harness and a tanks inc. efi fuel tank/pump. I still need to source a radiator
and decide which bellhousing I want to go with. Seems like quicktime is the only outfit that has a gen 3 to ford t56 bell. Once I figure that out I'll need to figure out the throw out bearing. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks!

I am assuming you have looked at TTI, Mancini, Holley (Blackheart), etc?

I think that if you are not going to go with an aftermarket K (altercation or hemi Denny ) you will probably have to make your own. You will also most likely run into issues with the 300c manifolds as the outlets on them point almost straight into the firewall

Thanks, I'm going with the steel 300 manifolds so I can cut the outlets and weld them where I want them to point.

you might want to research the 2011 SRT8 jeep manifolds, might put you right where you need to be without cutting and welding. just a thought

Silver Sport Transmissions casts their own aluminum BH that fits G3 and Mopar SB. Machined for Ford pattern Tremec TKO.
If TKO has same bolt pattern as T56, that should work.

Thanks, the TKO and TKX are similar to a T5 and use a different bell. I'll ask them about their T56 setup. Thanks.

First I'm taking care of the brakes and suspension.

I'm using the aftermarket Ford T56 magnum, rear leafs (minus the top leaf) and 17" wheels left over from a 69 Mustang project. I'm waiting for the jig to redrill the rear for 5 on 4.5. Should be here soon. If I can't get the 17x8 wheels to tuck into the rear wells minus the adapters that are on there now then I'll have a problem. The correct bell to use is going to be the quicktime rm 8078 (same as the LS1). Haven't ordered it yet. Still playing with the idea of just using my original 4 speed.

Those logs don't look bad at all until you get the driver on and find the steering goes right through them....? whats the dimension off the centerline of those? Can probably tell what the early A dim is there. Best thing to do is drop it in ans see where its gonna have to land and start fabbin. Start with flanged U channel for a good base.

Received the jig to redrill my axles and the efi tank. Tank came with the sending unit and new straps which was a nice surprise.

Is that a 5.7 from a truck or car? Without changing K-member you run into clearance issue if it’s a car motor. As the accessories are at the bottom. The truck puts them up top. FYI I’m not trying to be a jerk just from experience.

It is out of a car. I'm using the holley alt relocation bracket, removing the ac compressor, and the power steering pump. I'm fabbing an aftermarket LS1 idler pulley to go in the ps pumps place. Should be good. thanks

The outside headers are 6.1 SRT8 from a car, the inside ones are from a SRT8 Jeep and the middle cast manifolds are the car 5.7

Well, you have a nice selection of manifolds there. I have no experience trying to fit these on an early A. I do have experience with 67-76 A fitment. With that being said, none of those work. The SRT car and 5.7 car put the lead pipes into the framerails. The SRT Jeeps are close. I have only tried to fit the passenger side. It would work if you cut off the flannge and rotated it. I forget which way. I have a thread on SRT Jeep Manifolds Do Not Work. Never did try to fit driver side. Only thing I can say for certain is NO FACTORY power steering. The only true bolt in, no cutting, mods required are the 2010-2012 Grand Cherokee and Durango manifolds. The Durangos have the larger outlet and still fit. AGAIN, this is on the 67-76 A-body platform. I really think you're in for some work on this. Especially if you don't want to completely hack the front of that car out. I'm looking forward to some results and an education! Good luck with it and there's people here to help!!

Thanks! That info will save me some time and some cash.

Please keep posting. I have a ‘64 Valiant and a few hemi’s begging to replace the slug 6. Lol

Here for the updates. I have only seen one Gen 3 swapped into a early A body using a steering box. They made custom headers. When I set mine in with a steering box it was to tight. I ended up going with a aftermarket k member.

I am still working on it. Converted to 5x4.5, 17" wheels, disc brakes and lowered. Getting the engine prepped now.

That intake and TB should really help with hood clearance.
