Before I install the engine/transmission after a rotisserie paint job, I think it would be a good idea to replace whatever seals can be changed without disassembling the internals of the transmission. Is there a kit available somewhere? Vehicle has factory cable-operated floor shift if that makes a difference. Thank you.

Front pump seal, output shaft seal, speedometer cable drive seal, and pan gaskets are all I can think of. I can't remember if the neutral safety switch has an o-ring or not.

Yes, the park pawl housing gasket should be replaced. 65'

External seals/gaskets
Front pump seal
fill tube o ring
throttle pressure shaft seal
shift cable o ring
speedometer cable o ring
park cable o ring
extension housing rear seal (65 is one year only, 60-64 different)
pan gasket and filter (65 down two large holes in filter, also recommend using the ridged pan gasket for a A500 trans)
Contact Pat Blais tflitepatty@comcast.net as the best source for the correct parts for the early 904

I'm not sure Pat Blais is still available:
