Does anyone have a parts diagram for the 1965 Barracuda brake pedal assembly with the automatic transmission? There is some debate about whether or not a return spring is part of that.

Thanks!

H

I just removed the whole assembly from my 65 to be replaced with a manual. I've looked all over my shop and can't find it. I'll look again tomorrow. If I find it, I'll send you a picture, if someone doesn't do it before me. It sucks getting old.

The pedal doesn't have a return spring, but, the brake push rod does. Accomplishes the same thing.....helps keep the brake light off.

I found it...no spring.

Great timing! I was going to post with the same question for my '64 Dart. Could not find a brake pedal illustration anywhere in either the 64 or 66 FSM. Every other pedal except brake pedal had an illustration.
I used PB Blaster on the pivot bushings and my pedal now moves freely. I also needed to see what the brake light switch bracket looked like, mine was bent back out of the way.
