1965 Dodge Dart 270

Not running. Car was my daily driver for several years, bought off of a buddy. After a couple years of driving, it started to stall out on me at a dead stop, then started stalling when the engine would get up to idle after starting it up. I started working on it and then had to quit due to severe back problems. It’s been sitting for a couple years, now, and got the windshield smashed by a couple drunks who got kicked out of the bar I lived next to (the charming gentlemen smashed all the windshields in the parking lot).

I’d like to see the car go to someone who is looking to restore, but could also make a great parts car.

Slant Six 225
1-barrel Holley 1920
Rust on quarter panels, mostly over rear wheel wells.
Busted original windshield from vandalizing, but water-tight. Couple of dents.
Body seems to be all original, two sets of vintage hubcaps, all trim intact except for tail light bezel trim.
Interior trim intact except for front arm rests and heater vents.
Original seats and upholstery, fabric disintegrating.
Car is in Columbus, OH

Asking $1700

My brother is interested in your dart.
Can you send me your number so he can talk to you.

Interested in the 65 Dart.
Can come today (Tuesday) to look/buy.
If it is solid and you have a good title.
Consider it sold.

please contact me
or Greg Haffly
or Larry Haffly - 64Mopar
Thank you.

Howdy everybody, after having the Haffly brothers from above come out and look at the Dart, we found pretty bad rot in the driver side floor pan. Got the engine to turn over but we didn’t get it running, as the tank has stale fuel in it.

Given the rust issues and the fact that it’s not running, I’m going to drop the price and sell for parts or best offer. Not sure if I should re-list on here, but I’m going to go ahead and upload more photos of the rust issues and some shots of the interior, doors, etc.

If you are going to part out, I would like the radio and trim surround, and the outside mirrors on the doors. Wish you were closer; that car could yield me lots of spare parts.

^^^^^^^ Interested in headlight/hood/grill trim(candy canes)

Thanks, Dave

I’ve got a couple guys here in town currently interested in maybe picking up the whole car, so let me see how that pans out and I’ll get back to you guys.

Hi "Backatron". Whatever happened with this car? Was it sold?
Hey, sorry I’ve been slow to reply on this, I’ve been having pretty bad back problems and haven’t been able to focus on the car.
I’ve still got the Dart and will probably cut it loose pretty cheap now. Too many things to fix on it and I’m about to start physical therapy, so it’s gotta go.
