Here we have a true survivor! A 1965 Plymouth Valiant Base - 4 door 100. Slant 6, 170 ci. engine. Automatic. Has 14 wheels with a small bolt 5/4 pattern. This car is unmolested and 98% stock. Has a Carter Ball & Ball single barrel carb. Build date is May 27, 1965. Comes with build sheet and care card. VIN# 157247288. Miles reads 46,500, could be original.
The Good:
Car is very reliable starts, runs and stops great! Very clean. Original paint. Has OEM front disk Kelsey-Hays brakes, recently redone with new master cylinder,etc. Drums on the back. Like new tires. New shocks. Remfg. carb. Recent exhaust. Fresh battery. Original spare/jack Working AM radio. Sweet running motor. Power steering. Recently passed state safety inspection. Clean body lines, doesnt appear to have been in an accident. Factory undercoating. Front floor pans replaced. Perfect bumpers. Good glass. Doors, hood, trunk, windows work smoothly.
The Bad:
Needs a paint job. Lower rear quarter panels need rust repair (see photos). Minor oil and/or trans leak. Dash/Cowl leaks. A few instrument lights are out. Parking brake needs to be adjusted. Front seat has cover and been patched. Radio bezel is not OEM. Appears to have had a dealer installed AC unit, but removed some time ago.
Just a fun car to drive, gets lots of attention. Reason for sale - wife wants a car with shoulder belts. Located in Lee's Summit, Mo, just East of Kansas City. Sale price $3,500.
