1965 Valiant LS Swap Final Update

Hey all, so I finally got the Valiant up and running, and I've been semi-daily driving it for around the last four months. I made a couple posts a while back detailing the build, and since then I've been mainly tackling exhaust and other small things.

I was able to make the S10 LS Swap manifolds fit, but only just. I needed to grind both sides slightly to avoid both the steering box and the fender well. The factory steering column coupler hit the manifold, so I milled two flat edges into the column and replaced it with a borgeson. From there it was just a bunch of tidying up hoses and wiring as well as some tuning.

My fuel flow tells me I'm making around 440 hp at the crank, but I think it's probably more like 410-415. Anyways, here are some mediocre videos of me driving it for the first time!

man, looks like you got purt near a country mile in clearance all around. 400+ hp ain't nuthin' to sneeze at neither! drive the wheels off and report back!

Completely agree with this/\ /\ /\.
I was never into putting a different brand of engine in a body. Trans maybe. Rear end maybe. But not engine. Trans/rear end aren't as visible for one thing. I can kinda see it in company's who are completely done, but even though the Plymouth brand is gone the company behind them is still alive even though it may be barely so. An LS especially. It would be more understandable in something like a Packard or a Studebaker, something like that..... But not a Mopar....
 
Cool hot rod. Is that front suspension liking that weight? Appears to bounce quite a bit in your burnout video.
