1966 273 timing specs

Hello,

Does anyone know the timing specs for a 1966 273? I can not find it

Car is an automatic

And yet another question about timing. There have been volumes of information written here about the subject. Spec is a number the factory wanted. Start there and keep advancing a few degrees at a time. Most 273's like 10-15° initial with 32- 35° total with the vacuum disconnected. The mechanical advance can be adjusted by modifying the advance slots in the distributor and the rate of advance is controlled by the springs. "all in by 2000 rpm" is a guideline. Sometimes just removing the heavy spring will get you there and using 2 light springs will do the trick. Use the search function to read more. tmm
