Built for Canadian market at the windsor plant only and NOT SOLD in the US. These cars may of course be anywhere now.
Many people scratch their heads regarding this car, especially in the US, as it is tagged by vin starting with "L" for dodge dart. Interestingly, the 1966 Canadian built valiants all seem to start with the "L" in their vins l have come across.
Same as a US built dart 270 convertible but with valiant name plates across the hood and trunk.
So far, l have found 2 others, 1 in Quebec and another has been seen in B.C.

Notice the dodge dart ftont clip that was used that year so it was really a rebadged dodge dart.
The auto pact in early 1965 apparently between Canada and the US created some things like this to occur. Also no mention in any literature in 1966 of dodge or plymouth or badging on the cars and they could be sold at EITHER a Dodge or Plymouth dealership.
It was the original trade pact between the 2 countries which years later became the NAFTA agreement we have today.
Found a lot of this information from the wonderful members throughout this website.
CHEERS. STAY SAFE ALL
