1966 Dart Bulkhead Connector?

Easy. I think there are 2 clips for each section. Wiggle and pull. May be pry with a pocket screwdriver. Make sure the battery has been disconnected.

The metal clips hold it to the firewall.

Spray it with armor all or clear tire shine let it soak for a day then do it.

Ok, looking at separating the male side from the female, is that not possible? Thanks again

Take a close up photo and post it here. There are clips to retain it to the Part that is clipped to the firewall. These are just spade terminals.

See the tabs on the end? Squeeze both of those together to release them and wiggle the block loose.

Ok, got it and I will do the Armor All as suggested. Thanks for all the input...

Now that it's apart you should clean all the connectors. They make special file cleaners but you can trim down a disposable fingernail file to do the job. File/clean/brighten the terminals both male and female ends. You should assemble with dielectric grease that you can get at your parts store. Badly damaged/melted connectors need to be repaired or replaced.

Thanks, that is the plan. It will be interesting to see what the inside looks like. I have a set of hobby files, I hope one of them will work.
