1967 273 rear main seal

Does a stock 1967 273 have the serrations on the rear main seal area of the crankshaft requiring the use of the old rope style rear main seal,or is it smooth so I can simply replace my current rope rear main with the new style neoprene(rubber) one ,without removing the crank?

im betting one that old is a rope seal, so it would most likely have the knurl...
you can change a rope seal without removing the crank

Thanks Sanguine....I changed out the oil pan gasket set and found the leak was there and not the rear main....thank goodness....that was a lot easier.
