This will be my second project on the A-body forum!
See my Duster here- http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=43597
Vehicle is a 1967 Dodge Dart 270 with a 360 with Magnum heads, Crosswind intake and headers, 727 and 8.75 rear with open 3.23's.
The plan is to convert the car to BBP (as I have lots of BBP rims floating around) and a four speed and apply fresh paint! Also going to pitch the 67 plastic windshield trim and go with later model stainless.
Car was obtained for $3000 plus shipping ($1150 via DAS) and arrived in good condition. I'm going to document items picked up along the way and pics of work to show members that a quality job can be done on a reasonable budget.
A parts car or two will be picked up along the way, parts sold from those vehicles will be sold off to offset the project. So far I lucked out on finding a battered (but low miles) 1975 Dart 4-door locally for the disc brakes and BBP rear drum setup.
Parts picked up so far... all prices include shipping!
$75 4-speed pedals
$112 bolt in Mopar Performance sub-frame connectors (new)
$28 Spare headlamp bezels
$110 Shifter hump (new)
$37 Z-bar bracket
$210 Truck axles & re-spine job
$100 Lower control arms and swaybar.
$50 10.5" Bellhousing.
$200 LBB disc brake front end with power brake booster.
$75 68-75 Windshield trim
I'm in the parts collecting phase now but when I start... things will move pretty darn quick if you view the progress on the Duster! The plan is to get everything refurb'd and do stem to stern in one shot unlike the Duster where some things were put off so we could go to cruises, winter, etc.
Unlike the Duster which is mostly a cruiser, this one is going to have great balls of fire to go along with its good looks ;-)
The first picture shows the car at the transport company lot when I picked it up, the next two when it was home in the driveway.
