thats pretty cool!
wats the plan for it?
current plan for this is a rebuilt 360 la engine and 727 trans.8 3/4 rear end.going to put on a fiberglass hood.one of the former owners has drilled holes in front of the hood.not a good idea if you ask me.

how much body work is there to do other than replacing the hood? rust a big issue?
the car has very little rust some small holes in the driverside floor.but somebody has done some cutting in the rear wheel openings there is no rust, but it looks kinda weird.its going to get a full respray next winter.

i love those cars,

one day, i WILL own one, with a big block of course :)

there was one at the eastern classic on saturday with a 426, tubbed, full cage, everything. the best of best. almost won the wheel stand contest, and, ran 9.60's all day.

i love that car

its almost like a miniature 68 dart

Cool find!!

Was it imported to Sweden from the States in 1972 or was it already in Europe from 1967 to 1972?

hi,the car was in the states from 67 to 72.
Happy early birthday! Nice gift!! Sounds like you've got a great base for a great car.
Check out my clubs website www.inlandmoparscarclub.com and watch our buildup of a '68 Valiant we're going to raffle off to benefit the California School for the Deaf in Riverside, California. Car will have big-block power, 727, complete RMS coil-over front and rear suspension. New Legendary interior, custom paint, etc., etc. PM me if you want any raffle tickets at US$5 per ticket - then you can import this car to Norway!!!
We built a '67 Dart last year and presented the school with US$33,000 after the raffle.:burnout:

got my hood scoop and grant steering wheel from summit the other day,had to see how it looks on the car.going to put on a coat of flat black this week.just so that i can drive it this summer.just been gathering parts for it all winter and spring, found a van dana 60 at the local junk yard and another 360 motor.going in the car,the coming winter.

Nice Vals! I really like those 2 door post vals, we only had 4 doors here in Australia as well as the 2 door hardtop. Love the interiors on 67 cars with the elaborate bright work around the seats, the red upholstery looks great on the new car as well (what was the previous owner thinking when drilling those holes in the bonnet!)

Hey great little project! Holes in the hood are interesting! So are the louvers. I see you have the signet dash, i am wondering if you could help me out and take a picture of the latching mechanism. I recently bought the same panels for my Valiant 100 and I used to have a button latch. I cant figure out how this Signet panel latches. Any help is very appreciated. Thx

hi.yes of course i can help you out with some pictures, but can`t do it before tomorrow,it`s to dark outside here now.the hood is scrap, thanks to p o,but it will do as a mock up for my fiberglass project.going to make my own hood, have done some carbonfiber hoods for a ford sierra cosworth a couple of years back.

Those custom 'speed holes' in the hood must make the car much quicker!

Nice find, good luck with the project. I wonder why a '67 Valiant was shipped to Norway in '72...

removed the volvo gas tank that was mounted in the trunk, and found the original filler hole under a ton of bondo,i am afraid this car turns out to be a bondo bucket.not good at all.dont know what i should do with it now.going to the states on vacation in august, maybe i can find me another car when i am there.

What are you coming to the states for??? business , family , car shows???

Hey thx for the info on the glove box. Now I have to find the springs or come up with a different latching set up. By the way I see where you "found" the gas filler hole. I was noticing the paint, has that been painted with a brush?
